Ha.  That's an awesome pic!
Amazing seminar i had a great time Soca, Nick and Marcel were great and very humbling on the mat. Sundays GI class was sweet and i look forward to traing w Jared to persue my blue belt in this beautiful art of Jiu Jitsu.
Nice.  Glad you enjoyed it.

This being my first seminar, I had no idea what to expect.  I was a little star struck at first, but Mr. Soca, Nick, and Marcel were very nice, very professional, and I became very comfortable with them very quickly.  I really enjoyed the idea of asking questions and Mr. Soca showing us the answers.  I really learned a lot, and am very grateful to everyone.  This was a huge opportunity, and I am so glad I was able to take advantage of it.

On a side note, I was also very impressed with our Coaches.  Being a lower rank student, I don't actually get to see our coaches in full throttle action.  There instruction is always amazing, but watching them on the mats with world champions, I was very impressed by how good they really are.

      Also, congratulations to coach Palmer!!

Yeah man.  Great pick for your first seminar to attend!  Ha.

I am really glad we had the opportunity to bring Soca and his students up here for a seminar.  I am also thankful to all those who attended and were able to experience what it is like to work with a World Champion.
Well said.

New students to our school know how exciting it is first getting into martial arts learning something new every day. some of us have been doing this for many years i love this sport its my life but its become the normal day to day for me. coming out of this seminar i feel really rejuvenated and more excited about martial arts than i have been in along time. Being able to start again as a white belt in Brazilian jiu jitsu is an incredible opportunity. A student is the most important thing to be at any level as a martial artist we all have something to learn especially me! I cant wait to continue to train GI under Coach Palmer and learn more of what Professor Soca has already shown him.  At CNY Where all about goals and helping you achieve them so i thought in closing id post some of the new short and long term goals ive set for myself after the seminar. hopefully you can all help students and instructors alike to motivate and guide me in making them happen.

You got it James!

This is why I train with all the different Masters that have influenced me. This year: Marcello Garcia, Alexandre Soca, Pedro Sauer, Relson Gracie, Dan Inosanto, Chai Sirisute, Francis Fong, and others..

Good progression on the goals James. Don't forget to set pertinent sub-goals and approximate time lines for all your goals. Write them several times and revisit them for progress.

SIFU

I like the goals man!  Sifu is right ... you got it!  Nice post.
