BJ Penn's hosting a contest; "So You Think You Can Fight?"

I thought some people here might be interested. BJ Penn is hosting some sort of contest pertaining to MMA fighters. The winner gets a trip to Hawaii to train with BJ Penn. You need to make video logs of yourself training over a 6 week period of time. Here you go, good luck if anyone tries it.http://www.bjpenn.com/profile/SoYouThinkYouCanFightSee More

Chael Sonnen on Robbery.

After all the talk, all the insults, Sonnen did exactly what he said he would do; he proved that Silva is human. Despite not winning, I'd say that he was hands down the better fighter. Even when they called the fight, I thought the tap was questionable. His hand moved in the same motion as the majority of his strikes and both men continued to fight as the ref went to pull them apart. I genuinely think the fight was stopped short and that Sonnen would have won had the fight gone the distance. We… Continue

My name is Christopher Garitee. I trained at CNY MMA in Cortland, NY for about 6 months. After being inspired by watching the UFC, I had initially signed up to do something exciting. I was only thinking of how cool it would be to know how to fight. I had experience with martial arts when I was younger, but nothing substantial. I was also over weight and lethargic.… Continue

Ok. I made a list of everything I ate today like you suggested. I woke up at 11 and am going to bed now. I also did 2 p90x workouts, (back & biceps and ab ripper x). I ate:
Grilled Chicken with Broccoli Rabe (breast is roughly 150. freebie on broccoli)
Jarlsberg Cheese (low fat swiss) (1 slice is usually 80 to 100 cal)
fruit salad (watermelon, grapes, kiwi, strawberries and cantaloupe) (looks ok depending on size. fruit is calorie loaded but good for you)
a Syntha6 shake (350 in milk)
Broiled stuffed filet of sole (stuffed with crab meat) low cal but was the crab meat mixed with butter ? )
Salad with oil and vinegar (how much oil? switch to olive oil)
Carrots and Black Olives (good)
1/3 of a baked potato (calorie and startchy. good for post workout)
NOxplode (preworkout)
Syntha6 shake (post workout) (another 350)

me thinks you may not be eating enough real food. aim for at least 1800 clean calories a day. to maintain you need 2600, but if you eat less then 1200 you will be in starvation mode and lose nothing. also take 2 days off a week where you do nothing. not a push up, nothing ! the body needs that time to recover.

well a scoop of syntha is 200 calories so with milk that 350. twice a day adds up.
everything else looks good unless you cook in butter or something like that.
also have the potato post workout when glycogen levels are low. otherwise during the day have a sweet potato instead.
