"Great job Ric. Stick close to the team.  They are a great group of men that have seen all sorts of pain and come out the other side.  There is no greater lesson in life than experience.  And this place is full of life changing…"

Why I train at CNY MMA...

I dont want to win anything because i train at cnymma and i have a thousand reasons to train. I came from a life that most would frown upon. Sure im 17 thats great your childhood was better and it really starts getting difficult when your in the real world. But those of you that think all this are very wrong. The childhood is what molds you. I came from a family where everything was okay until my dad became to lash out of anger of failure and my mother got sick mentally and physically. I LOST…See More

Airsoft War, October 15 at Cortland-Homer is the meeting place

October 15, 2011 from 12pm to 3pm
Just on the off chance... I'm setting up an Airsoft game. It will either be at a homemade field in groton, or some place in homer. Manager wants to talk. Anyways, bottom line is i would like as many players as possible to make this event as big as possible. Airsoft is similar to paintball. It uses different kinds of power, but the principle is the same. If you are interested or have questions, leave a comment. I will give out further details as they become available. No experience or equipment…See More

I Will Have My Day

Someday i will have my shot to be the top. Someday i will spar my amazing coach. Someday i will win my first official fight. But im only 17. I have the patience, the mental toughness and a good amount of physical toughness. But how can cny mma help me get to the top? other then going to classes. How did the rest of these fighters like the great wolf, Chris, and Tamdan? Each of these fighters and teachers are very gifted and i look up to each of them in each different martial art. But how can I…See More

Fighting punishments for fighting outside of the ring?

Posted on October 23, 2010 at 10:45pm 6 Comments

hey im Ric, im 16, i started mma about 6 months ago and boy is it a blast and a adrenaline rush. But i have herd all sorts of rumors of going to jail for fighting because im "training to be a weapon"? is this true? if i get in a fight will i actually be punished worse for being in mma? what are the rules if i have to defend myself at anytime? i need to know this and i think its a good idea to bring attention to the rest of the fighters.

Thanks for your time.

-Ric.
